Cyrus Northrop letter to E. C. Stedman [manuscript], 1875 December 29.

Northrop returns the fifty cents Stedman has sent, saying there is no charge for the catalogue he has mailed. He writes that he has read Stedman's book [Victorian Poets], and comments on the following poets he has discussed: Landers, E. B. Browning, Tennyson, Morris, Arnold, Swinburne, and Robert Browning. He plans to recommend the book to his students, but notes that it is not suitable for a textbook, as he instructs in Early English.
